My favorite, there is so much more to see

Who: Anyone
What: Scene of a Traffic Accident, possible suspicious circumstances
Where: Brooklyn Bridge
When 11pm

At 11pm, on a cold and black night a call comes over the police scanners. A red mustang drove off the side of the Brooklyn Bridge and slammed head first into the ground. Crossing over the other lanes the driver of the mustang left a three car pile up in her wake. Fire and rescue, and all available units are asked to respond.

The car went off the bridge at the westbound Brooklyn approach, broke through the guardrail and went down like a ton of bricks. The car crumbled like an eggshell on the hard, unforgiving ground below, though not before coming down on a man who was unlucky enough to be standing in the spot directly under the car when it came over the bridge.

The scene is organized chaos. EMTs hurry to try and stabilize the victims and move the ones still on the bridge away from the scene as fast as possible. For one of the cars is on fire and firefighters are desperate to get everyone cleared off the bridge quickly before the car’s gas tank explodes. Traffic cops have shut down the bridge and denied access to all but the most crucial of personal.

The young female driver of the mustang is alive, though barely. The EMTs fight to save her. She is almost completely crushed. She will lose both her legs, the appendages being too mangled within the wreckage to be saved. She coughs up some of the blood that is filling her lungs and moans in pain as the action forces her partially crushed rib cage to expand and contract. She is covered in blood and glass from the windshield that shattered in on her, and her eyes are glazed over as if a part of her way already dead. And it is obvious to anyone who takes a look that the rest of her may not be far behind.

Aiden Burn was pulling a double. Already in Brooklyn, having just finished up processing another scene she walked, kit in hand to the scene at the bridge. Coming upon it she ducked under the crime scene tape and slowed to take stock of the scene.

People were shouting. Victims were screaming out in pain. Sounds of the city could barely be heard over the din Onlookers crowded round the police tape to stare at the grizzly spectacle. . The water under the bridge was quiet and dark, save for the circles of light that reflected off the river. Whether they were the halos of angels who had come to protect or to collect souls Aiden did not know. Wind whipped around, fanning the flames of the fire and blowing Aiden’s long hair about. She let out a long breath that came out as a cold fog in the black night.

Aiden sighed Time to get to work. It was obvious she wasn’t going to be allowed on the bridge for now. Besides, the answers to this puzzle lied underneath. She walked down to where the EMTs were struggling to save the life of the driver. She lifted up the camera from around her neck and started snapping photographs.

[I'm making things up on the way. XD If it's not wanted, then let me know and I'll change it. ]

Detective Don Flack was trying as much as he could to block out the screaming victims as he made his way under the crime scene tape, his Detective Notepad already open with notes sribbled on. He had interviewed as many witnesses as he could and got a couple words out of some victims, but not a whole lot.

His eyes landed on Aiden and since she was the only CSI that he had seen at the crime scene so he decided that he might as well talk to her with what he had already collected.

"Well, I've got a couple people that actually spoke." He said, walking up to Aiden as he gave her an irritated look. Sometimes he really hated when the witnesses and suspects didn't really give the information that he needed. Made it tougher on his job. "The girl in the mustang's name is Kelly Lynn. Twenty-two years old and is a college student. Found her ID's in her wallet."
[It's very wanted :) No fun if I know how the story ends.]

"Was a college student." Aiden murmured, coming round the back of the car as she heard the EMTs pronounce time of death. She bent down and opened her kit, snapped on a pair of rubber gloves and pulled out two small paper bags and some tape. She went over and began taping up the driver's hands.

"What college? Does she live on campus?"
Flack glanced down at his notepad before looking back up at Aiden. "NYU." And he snapped it shut before watching her do her little CSI thingy that she does so well. Don knew a little bit about forensics, well, enough to get him through the job and so in a way, it fascinated him just to watch the CSIs do their job.

"She lives with her roomate Marcia."
Done with her task Aiden stepped back to let the medical examiner and his staff remove the body. She goes to stand beside Flack.

"So what was she doing in Brooklyn?" Aiden watches as the the driver is removed and placed into a bodybag, minus one leg.

"I think you boys missed something." She calls to them.

"Her leg's too tightly pinned in, you'll have to get it out when your examining the car."

"Gee thanks." She says scarstically, turning to look at Flack, raising an eyebrow. Perks of the job.

"Do you know when they'll getting the car off the other victim?" the ME questions, gesturing to the dead man still trapped underneath the front of the car.

"When I'm done my perliminary."

"And when would that be?" AIden throws him a look that says she dosen't liked to be rushed and goes back over to the car. Pulling out her flashlight she leans in and peers inside.

"If she'd been heading back to school she should've taken the Manhattan Bridge. What did the witness say?" she said to Flack.
Flack watched as they placed the body, without the leg, into the body bag and Don winced slightly. Missing limbs was something that was never good.

And Don had to agree with Aiden, time wasn't really something that seemed to be on their side and the faster that everyone else had finished, the faster they could finish their job. "Just make it quick." Flack told them as he followed Aiden to the car and he squints a little, trying to see inside with the light that Aiden had shown with the flashlight.

"Witness said that she was drivin' pretty fast and that was it. Also said somethin' about how the forces of nature were coming to seek revenge on those and ya know, just kind of left at that. Crazy people live here."
"Oh thanks." she said sarcastically.

She takes interior pictures of the car, then puts down her camera. She looks out across the water, the wind continuing to whip around her. A few more feet and the woman would've hit the water, might've had a chance.

"I don't know Flack. Ya know more patients are brought into the ER during a full moon. So maybe there's something to it."
He glanced around the area before looking back at her, nodding slightly at her last comment. "I can go check into it but I'm not too sure we're gonna get what we're lookin' for. Maybe some druggies here an' there but I can look."

It was his job to at least ask those questions so sure, what the hell? What was wrong with that.

"No. I was just talking. But somebody should talk to the roommate. Contact her family, things like that. I'd like to know what she was doing in Brooklyn this time of night, and where she was headed."

Aiden moves from the driver's side of the car to the passenger. There doesn't seem to be anything for her to find at this point. She'll take a closer look at it back in the lab. She dumps her flashlight into her kit and pulls out a large piece of plastic.

"Flack, would you help me start to wrap the car up? I don't want to rick losing anything when they move it."

"Got it." Flack told her as he scribbled a couple of side notes on his Pad before closing it and stuffing into his coat pocket.

He then eyed the large piece of plastic and he nodded, sure what the hell. Might as well help as much as he can. "Ya, sure." And he moved forward and took one end of the piece of plastic.
"We need to wrap the car up as much as we can, but leave the bumper exposed so they can hook the crane on."

It was something new to have a car sticking straight up in the air like a domino ready to fall.

Intent on preserving the car Aiden pay little attention to the chaos going on around her. She jumps as an explosion rings out, and then looks up at the bridge. The gas tank of the car that was on fire finally blew.

"Flack, how many victims were still trapped up there?"
[Wtf. Why didn't I get an email to this? XD Sorry!]

"All right, got it." Flack said as he moved around the car, the plastic still in his hand as he did so.

It wasn't until the loud explosion that roared above them and Flack dropped the plastic, his eyes quickly moving to Aiden to make sure that she wasn't hurt before glancing up at the bridge.

"There were two." He said, his voice dropping as he realized that there would be more bodies to examine.
[Np it happens. I'm just so happy to be tagged :) I'm so bored and am trying desperatly to avoid doing homework.]

Aiden swallowed at Flack's words. "Gonna be a long night." she said. She shook the plastic to try and get Flack's attention back to the task at hand. She pulled a piece of tape off the roll.
[Aw. Well. Me too. XD Big project tomorrow and I'm slacking.]

"Yeah, somethin' I really don't want right now." He told her as he bent down to grab the plastic he had dropped earlier before returning to the plastic task.
Aiden tapes up the plastic and steps back.

"Ok boys." she calls over her shoulder to the men who are waiting to move the car. "Nice and slow ok." Aiden watches as they lift the car up off the body it was pinned down on. The ME rushes in to examine the corpse as the mustang is pulled onto the flatbed truck.

"So Flack, who'd ya piss off to get the midnight shift tonight?" She asked, her breath coming out in a fog. Aiden was used to being Mac's gopher but she was always suprised to see who else got tossed around at all hours.
Don took a step back and waited as the men took care of the vehicles and the medical examiner made his way to the body. And Flack couldn't help but wince slightly. What a way to go.

His eyes then move to look at Aiden and he gave a small shrug of the shoulders, his lips curving into a small smile. "I'm sure a bunch of people. I'm one of the youngest, what do ya expect?"
"True." Aiden smiles. "Sucks being the baby sometimes." Aiden knew that well enough, being the baby in her family as well as among the other CSIs.

"Ok, he's all yours detective." The ME announced. Aiden moved over and knelt down next to the body.
"Sure does." He responded as he watched the ME move away, leaving the two of them with the body.

Don inched a little closer to the body, his brows raising at the image. "And yet again, what a way to go. Now that is one way I do not want to die." He said, pointing at the body with his pen.
"At least it was fast. There are worse ways to go." She tried not to take the thought any further in her head. She went back to her kit and returned with a fresh pair of gloves and one for Flack.

"Here." she said, handing him the gloves. "Don't worry, he won't bite." she teased.
"Funny." He said sarcastically as he took the fresh pair of gloves and place them on his hands after he had placed his pen in his pocket.

"So, lookin' for somethin', anythin'." Don said, mostly oto himself as he squatted down besides the body, his eyes focusing on the wounds.
"I.D. would be nice. But I don't think we should have too much trouble finding out who he was, looks like he worked here."

Aiden catches sight of the mustang being strapped to the flatbed and jumps up, heading over in that direction.

"Woah woah woah, I gotta wrap the back up first, then you can take it away." She grabs another piece of plastic out of her kit and jumps up onto the flatbed to tape up the fron and back of the car.
Flack is staring down at the body, his eyes tracing over as he swallows hard. He does tend to have some trouble when it comes to crime scenes such as this and he shudders, standing up. Somehow, it reminded him of a ghost movie he had watched when he was younger.

His attention moves towards Aiden and he walks over towards her. "Need help with that?" He asks, looking up at her.
Aiden smirks, her back turned to Flack. He's scared to touch the body. She doesn't hold it against him though, everybody has their thing. She just finds it mildly amusing when cops go around with their tough guy acts and they're really squeamish. She wraps up the front of the car and moves to the back.

"I've got some paint transfer back here. bring me my kit would ya?"

OOC: Do you know what tool they use to scrap off paint samples? cause I'm drawing a blank.
"Kit? Got it." And he moved away, glad that Aiden didn't mention anything about his little, ahem, problem with the body. He reached down and grabbed her kit before walking back over towards where she was standing, holding the kit up for her.

[OOC: No. Not at all. XD Sorry.]
OOC: Np I'll just avoid using a name.

"Thanks Flack." Aiden says. She takes a paint scraping off the back of the mustang, finishes wrapping up the car then tells the tow truck driver to take it back to the lab. She hopes that by time she gets back somebody will already be starting to process it so it won't all be left to her.

Returning to the body of the victim who was pinned under the car she stands and stares at the body for a long moment, taking things in. The upper half of the torso has been smashed bad, but the lower half seems more or less intact. She bends down, sitting on the ground next to the body. Then she takes a pair of tweezers out of her kit and uses them to help her poke around at the mouth, or in the general vicinity as the face is almost unrecognizable as human.

"Adult male." She looks over the whole body. "Flannel shirt, work pants, work boots." She reaches underneath the body, checking his back pockets for I.D. School of Seven Bells she thinks. She misses Danny for a moment. Wonders how he's doing.

"Found a wallet." she announces as she pulls it out of the man's pocket and hands it to Flack.
Once Aiden moves back to the body, Flack follows and he's watching her again because he's not really quite sure what she's doing.

He's quiet for a moment before she speaks and he turns his head as if that would have him get a better look at the evidence. "Ah, wallet." He says happily as he takes the wallet, with gloved hands of course, and opens it. "Hey, this guy is shit broke." Flack says as he turns the wallet around in his hands.
